What Is Your Swing Flaw?
Lack of Follow Through
Because this shaft is so flexible, if you try to stop it from its forward motion the club head will continue on its path causing the shaft to flex.

Depending on the speed of the club head and the point at which you try to stop its forward motion, may cause the club head to travel pretty close to your head. So you can see the importance of continuing the follow through. You won't hit your self at all but it is a weird feeling.

Some say that The Whippy® pulls them on around to their finish position. As time passes, and you work with The Whippy on a daily basis, you will notice an increase your flexibility. Don't expect immediate results from the first day. With any training program it takes time to develop. However, you will notice a difference in the way you swing your regular equipment. whippy tempomaster pitching wedge

Your Distance is not what it should be.
There are many reasons why one's distance is lacking. The most obvious reason is the way power is being applied to the club head.

Many golfers tend to try to over power the club with their hands or arms which causes a decrease in club head speed just prior to impact. What they need to do is concentrate on swinging the golf club by using the larger muscles of the body. These muscles include the latissimus dorsi (the muscle running down the side of your back), the abdominal muscles and the leg muscles.

The Whippy TempoMaster® forces you to feel the application of power to the club head whether it be correct or incorrect. The neat thing about The Whippy clubs is you can hit bad shots with them and learn from your mistakes. When you hit The Whippy with your hands and arms you are going to feel a tremendous flex in the shaft and you will hit the ball dead right. Lefties will hit the ball dead left. What you will end up doing is begin to eliminate the flex in the shaft as you practice. By doing this, you will discover that the only way to hit this club is to apply power using the larger muscle groups.

Pulling From the Top
whippy tempomaster pitching wedgeThis a very common swing flaw. It occurs mostly when the golfer is too anxious to return the club head to the ball. The result then, is a loss of club head speed because of the hands and arms initiating the down swing. This is difficult to correct because you can't feel the effect pulling from the top has on the golf club. When using the Whippy TempoMaster® you will not only feel what the effect on the shaft is, but you will see the result of your shot. Most commonly the slice.

So now you have a starting point to correct your problem. Continue to use The Whippy until you can hit is as well or better that you regular equipment. Try to eliminate that flex in the shaft that you feel when pulling from the top. Use your hips and shoulder turns to keep the shaft straight. Centrifugal force is the key. The Harder and faster you swing the club head, the more rigid the shaft becomes.

Not completing the Back swing
The Whippy TempoMaster®, with its flexible shaft, forces you to finish the back swing. You just can't hurry the club from the top. In order to hit the Whippy well, you need to start into the ball with your turns and not with your arms or hands pulling from the top.

whippy tempomaster pitching wedgeJust remember to swing the club back and swing the club down. Over a period of time you will become more flexible and be able to make larger turns and generate more club head speed. But remember. Always stay in control.

CASTING or Coming Over the Top
The Whippy TempoMaster® has a flex point that is four inches below your hands. When you swing this club and feel a flex in the shaft it is at that point where your flaw has occurred. When trying to cast or come over the top with this club, you will feel a sharp flex in the shaft at the top of your back swing when you initiate the down swing. Once this club flexes it will not recover. Therefore, the flight will be the same as that of your regular club but a bit more exaggerated.

Now that you have felt that flex in your swing, you will concentrate on eliminating that flex, at that point in your swing, on your next shot. If you really pay attention to what TWTM is telling you, you will expedite the process of eliminating this action.

whippy tempomaster pitching wedgeWeight Transfer
Are you not able to transfer the weight from the right side to the left side? There are a lot of drills that all the great teaching pros use to accomplish this. Dr. Melvin has put some of his favorite drills in The Tips and Drills booklet (included with the Whippy TempoMaster®) that address this problem. All you have to do is find what works for you and do it over and over again.

In order to hit The Whippy you will need to get your weight to your right and then back to the left as fast as possible. Of course, the speed at which you turn from the right to the left determines how far you hit the ball.

Who Benefits from the Whippy TempoMaster®?
Beginners because the Whippy TempoMaster® brings out a persons (especially children) natural ability to swing something. By using a regular shafted club to learn with, you are not getting the true feel of swinging the club head. In fact, you have a tendency to try to over power the club with your hands and arms. If you apply an incorrect pressure to the shaft it will distort, flex and/or torque causing the club head to lose speed and an undesirable ball flight. You will correct your swing flaws before they become bad habits.

High Handicap Golfers If you have been golfing for a long time but haven't noticed a significant change in your score, you should really consider training with the Whippy TempMaster. Over the years it's possible that you have been grooving and developing an inconsistent swing. It just happens. Now its time to feel the swing that you have developed. At some point in your swing there is possibly a flaw. Whippy TempoMaster® will point out to you the flaw that you may or may not know exists in your swing providing immediate sensory feedback throughout the whole swing.

Scratch Golfers, Touring Pros and Teaching Pros
There approximately 70 touring pros training with the Whippy TempoMaster®. Most of them use The Whippy with their teaching professionals...teaching pros like John Redman. Most of the tour players who use them have bought their own. No matter what your skill level, there is the possibility of the most minute flaw creeping into your swing. The professionals of all ranks use Whippy TempoMaster® to find it and correct it.

Golf Schools and Learning Centers
The Whippy TempoMaster® is very popular with these facilities. Have you ever been told that your are too quick from the top? Pulling down with your arms and not making the correct move into the ball? Have you been told that you cast over the top? Well, Whippy TempoMaster® forces you to feel these actions when they occur. That is why the teaching and learning centers world wide use it. It expedites the learning process because the student can "feel" what the instructor is talking about. The lesson is much more efficient and less time is spent trying to explain the flaw and more time is being spent correcting the flaw because the student is able to feel what the instructor is working on.
