Step 1.
Place the Pur Stroke flat against the putter face and then flush against the top edge of the putter and the hossel. Hold firm when tightening the thumbscrew. Continue to tighten the thumbscrew until the Pur Stroke is secure against the putter.
|
Step 2.
To adjust the face angle of the Pur Stroke, apply a small amount of pressure to the back of the attachment until the putter face is square to the guide.

Step 3.
You can adjust the Pur Stroke to most lie angles. When the Pur Stroke is installed flush to the putter, it is equal to a standard lie. The lie can be adjusted anywhere from three degrees upright to three degrees flat.
|
Step 4.
For proper putting alignment to the hole, right-handed players should position the Pur Stroke guide toward the left edge of the hole. Next, place one tee on the right side of the guide. (Left-handed players will want to align on the right edge of the hole and the left side of the guide.) Then, make a few practice putts to hone in on the correct line. Complete the setup by inserting the other tee to fully secure the guide to the putting green.

Step 5.
Make several practice strokes, straight back and straight through, to get the feel of a square clubface when putting. Allow a bit of pressure between the Pur Stroke and the guide. Draw the putter back slowly and then accelerate through the putt. Hint: if the Pur Stroke comes off the guide, you are probably rotating your hands. Keep your hands and forearms firm but relaxed.
|
Step 6.
After a few practice strokes without the ball, place a ball in the middle of the guide and align the ball as closely as possible to the center of the putter. Draw the putter back, keeping the Pur Stroke flush to the guide. Make an accelerating stroke through the ball, keeping the Pur Stroke flat against the guide. With the unique design of the Pur Stroke, you can make successful putts over and over again to develop the true muscle memory needed for great putting. Think firm stroke! You cannot damage the Pur Stroke or the ball.
